90210 episode 3 'Lucky Strike'

This week featured both Annie and Dixon having to cancel their Friday night plans, due to the fact that their parents have planned their traditional family night. In Beverly Hills this is an entirely new concept and looked upon as strange by their fellow peers.
To make the night bareable the two invite a group of their friends to tag along, turning what was intended to be a small family outing to the bowling alley into a hang out with friends. This was met with dissapointment from Debbie and Harry, but also a realisation that Beverly Hills is nothing like their old town.
Meanwhile Silver faced family dramas and it was discovered she has been spending nights at shelters and staying with friends, basically doing anything to avoid home. She finds herself with no place to go and spends a night in her car, That is until Dixon discovers her and her secret. It ends up being that Silvers mother is an alcoholic and drug user, therefore Silver feels very uncomfortable being anywhere near her. At the conclusion of the episode Silver's sister Kelly ends up taking Silver to her home after discovering that her mother is using again.
The other main drama of the episode was with Naomi. She discovers late one night that her father is cheating on her mother. After much deliberation she tells her mum and is very surprised by her reaction. She knows allready, but puts up with it. This is met with utter confusion by Naomi. Her mothers reasoning is that she doesnt want to give up the lifestyle, she has money, a nice house, car and family. Its not worth giving it up over him cheating.
